* Dates for FiddleStar Adult Camp are Thursday through Sunday, May 1-4, 2025.
*The price for on-site lodging, tuition, and all meals is $1150. The day camper price (which includes tuition, breakfast, lunch, and snack) is $900. We also offer dinner add-on options for day campers. There are many delightful hotels and Air Bnbs nearby if bunk sleeping is not your thing. Read the FAQs to learn more about the specifics.
*Register early - with only 15 spots time is of the essence. Campers are taken in order based on when deposits are received. Here's how it works. At 9am Central on the day registration opens, the PayPal button will appear on the website. When there are 15 deposits received, registration is closed. Filling out the registration form is great and we do need you to do that, but has nothing to do with whether or not you make it in to camp. Sometimes we receive more than 15 deposits before we can declare camp registration closed. In that case, we will refund any deposits back to the people who did not get in and place those people on the waiting list in the order their deposits were received.
Come join us in historic Ridgetop, TN for a long weekend retreat of great fiddling and lots of fun. Every day we will work on fiddle tunes, take jam classes, learn to dance to fiddle music, and lots more. Incredible instructors will help you improve your technique, improvisational skills, and anything you can think of to become a better fiddler. We only take 15 campers (first come, first served) and those 15 campers will get to play fiddle knee to knee with some of the greatest fiddlers alive. All this happens in a beautiful home in the hills above Nashville, TN.
Enjoy small classes and very individualized instruction, no matter what your level. Not only are our instructors world-class musicians, but more importantly, they are kind, patient, and focused teachers. You will be hands-on, working on improving your own skills. We think this camp is best for fiddlers who have been playing a little while and can get through some tunes comfortably. You don't have to be an advanced player by any means, but if you have been playing fewer than three years and want a slower, more repetition based experience geared toward the "fiddle newbie", please check out some of other camps with "beginner" in the title.
Oh, and bonus - You can also have your fiddle and bow worked on by the luthiers at the legendary Violin Shop and The Fiddle Mercantile while you're at camp. These incredible professionals work on fiddles owned by everyone from Stuart Duncan to Alison Krauss and we are so proud to be partnered with them.
Pay Here! The PayPal button will appear here on 1/1/25 at 9am Central. 15 campers are taken on a first come, first served basis based on how deposits come in to PayPal. If you pay a deposit but do not get in to camp, we will refund your deposit and put you on the waiting list in the order your deposit was received. If you DO get in to camp, deposits are non-refundable.
